Accessibility Statement in Accordance with § 14 BFSG
hadewe GmbH, as the operator of www.hadewe.de, www.hadewe.net, and www.hadewe-shop.de, strives to make its digital services accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) in conjunction with the Regulation on the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSGV). Although hadewe GmbH is not legally obligated to comply with the law, as it exclusively serves business customers, it has voluntarily committed to fulfilling the requirements of the BFSG and BFSGV.
Description of the Service
Through the hadewe online shop (www.hadewe-shop.de), various products—such as those in the fields of foot care and cosmetics—can be purchased. The company websites (www.hadewe.de and www.hadewe.net) provide information about our products in the areas of foot care, cosmetics, and medical technology. Additionally, contact options are provided.
At the time of this statement, the digital services are partially accessible. The legal requirements according to § 3 BFSG and the underlying criteria of WCAG 2.1 (Level AA), as well as the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) under Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and Council, are partially met.

At the time of this statement, the following barriers exist:

- Dropdown menus are not fully operable via keyboard.
- Some controls are not correctly recognized by screen readers.
- Dynamic status messages (e.g., error messages, loading states, cart actions) are not currently announced by ARIA live regions or similar mechanisms for screen readers.
- Form Usability
- Some form fields are not sufficiently labeled or not correctly associated with their input fields.
- Visual Design
- Color contrasts in some areas do not meet the minimum requirements.
- Character and line spacing cannot be individually adjusted everywhere.
- Non-Text Content
- Some images lack alternative text (alt text).
- Occasionally, text is embedded as pure graphics ("text as image") without machine-readable alternatives. These contents are not accessible to screen readers.
- Documents (PDF Files)
- The provided PDF documents are not available in an accessible format. Accessible post-processing is currently not planned.
The login, registration, and checkout processes are partially not accessible.
